Pečky lies in the Nymburk Basin about 10 km southwest of Poděbrady and is the youngest town of the Kolín district. The village of Velké Chvalovice, where the Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk and the remains of a fortress are located, is also part of the town of Pečky.
