St. Bernward Hospital’s history goes back to 1734 when a community of women in France gathered to share the spirituality of St. Vincent de Paul. The community grew fast and in 1852 this hospital in Hildesheim was founded. The St. Bernward Hospital operates 24 hours a day every day of the year.
